Temperature control valve core replacement method:
Preparation tool
The temperature control spool is broken, we have to buy a different type to replace. Under normal circumstances, which brand of taps you buy will go to this brand of shop to buy a spool, you can buy it. After purchasing the spool, prepare a word or Phillips screwdriver, perhaps an Allen key, which should be selected according to the screws of your own faucet. Then prepare a needle-nosed pliers and a knife.
2. Remove hot water button
Before replacing the spool, first find the water switch of this faucet, then turn it off to avoid water spray when it is replaced. Then find the button for the cold water, perhaps a plastic cap, and gently pry it down with a small blade so that you can see the screws inside.
3. Remove the handle
After turning on the hot and cold water button, look at the shape of the screw, whether it is a word or a cross flower, maybe a hexagonal screw, and then decide which screwdriver, perhaps an Allen key. Remove the screw in the hole with a screwdriver and then remove the handle of the faucet.
4. Unload the temperature control spool
After removing the handle, you can see the inside of the valve core. Some of the valve cores have a fixed outer cover on the outside, and the cover can be removed. Then you can see the clips that hold the spool. There are usually four claws on the clip. Hold the two claws on both sides of the needle-nosed pliers, and then turn the clockwise to remove the clip.
5. Installation
After removing the clamp, the bad spool can be removed, then the new spool is installed, the previous steps are reversed, the other components are reinstalled, the faucet handle is installed, and the punch is punched. Water source valve, try to leak water, lock the handle after no problem, install the hot and cold water plastic cap.
